And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in the shepherd's bag which he had, even in his wallet; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

And hee tookeª° his staffeª in his hand,ª and choseª° him fiueª smootheª stonesª out of¹ the brooke,ª and putª° them in a shepheardsª° bagª which¹ he had, euen in a scrip,ª and his slingª was in his hande,ª and he drew neereª° to¹ the Philistine.ª
