Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, I have marked that which Amalek did to Israel, how he set himself against him in the way, when he came up out of Egypt.

Thus¹ saithª° the LORDª of hosts,ª I rememberª° [that]¹ which¹ Amalekª didª° to Israel,ª how¹ he laidª° [wait] for him in the way,ª when he came upª° from Egypt.ª¹

Thus said the Lord of hosts, Now will I take vengeance for what Amalek{gr.Amalec} did to Israel, when he met him in the way as he came up out of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}.
