And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpah, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.

And the Philistines heard that all the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh{gr.Massephath}: and the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel: and the children of Israel heard, and they feared before the Philistines.

And when the Pælištîm פְּלִשׁתִּיםª heardª° that¹ the childrenª of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלª were gathered togetherª° to Mixpà מִצפָּה,²¹ the lordsª of the Pælištîm פְּלִשׁתִּיםª went upª° against¹ Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל.ª And when the childrenª of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלª heardª° [it], they were afraidª° ofª¹ the Pælištîm פְּלִשׁתִּים.ª
