And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only Jehovah establish his word. So the woman tarried and gave her son suck, until she weaned him.

And Elkanahª her husbandª saidª° unto her, Doª° what seemethª thee good;ª tarryª° until¹ thou have weanedª° him; only¹ the LORDª establishª°¹ his word.ª So the womanª abode,ª° and gave her son² suckª°¹¹ until¹ she weanedª° him.

And Elkanah{gr.Helkana} her husband said to her, Do that which is good in thine eyes, abide still until thou shalt have weaned him; but may the Lord establish that which comes out of thy mouth: and the woman tarried, and suckled her son until she had weaned him.
