And Gideon made an ephod thereof, and put it in his city, even in Ophrah: and all Israel played the harlot after it there; and it became a snare unto Gideon, and to his house.

And Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹןª madeª° an ephodª thereof, and putª° it in his city,ª [even] in `Ofrà עָפרָה:ª and all¹ Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלª went thither a whoringª°¹ afterª it: which thing became¹ a snareª unto Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן,ª and to his house.ª
