And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar [Ed]: For, [said they], it is a witness between us that Jehovah is God.

And the childrenª of Reubenª and the childrenª of Gadª calledª° the altarª [Ed]: for¹ it¹ [shall be] a witnessª between¹ us that¹ the LORDª [is] God.ª

And Joshua{gr.Jesus} gave a name to the altar of the children of Reuben{gr.Ruben}, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh{gr.Manasse}; and said, It is a testimony in the midst of them, that the Lord is their God.
