And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; make not all the people to toil thither; for they are but few.

And they returnedª° to¹ Joshua,ª and saidª° unto¹ him, Let not¹ all¹ the peopleª go up;ª° but let about two¹ or¹ threeª thousandª menª go upª° and smiteª°¹ Ai;ª [and] make not¹¹ all¹ the peopleª to labourª° thither;¹ for¹ they¹ [are but] few.ª

And they returnedª° to¹ Ioshua,ª and saidª° vnto¹ him, Let not¹ all¹ the peopleª goe vp:ª° but let about two¹ or¹ threeª thousandª menª goe vp,ª° and smiteª°¹ Ai,ª and make not¹¹ all¹ the peopleª to labourª° thither,¹ for¹ they¹ are but few.ª

And they returned to Joshua{gr.Jesus}, and said to him, Let not all the people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and take the city by siege: carry not up thither the whole people, for [the enemy] are few.

And they returnedª° to¹ Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַ,ª and saidª° unto¹ him, Let not¹ all¹ the peopleª go up;ª° but let about two¹ or¹ threeª thousandª menª go upª° and smiteª°¹ `Ay עַי;ª [and] make not¹¹ all¹ the peopleª to labourª° thither;¹ for¹ they¹ [are but] few.ª
