If a man have two wives, the one beloved, and the other hated, and they have borne him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the first-born son be hers that was hated;

If¹ a manª have¹ twoª wives,ª oneª beloved,ª° and anotherª hated,ª° and they have bornª° him children,ª [both] the belovedª° and the hated;ª° and [if] the firstbornª sonª be¹ hers that was hated:ª

If¹ a manª haue¹ twoª wiues,ª oneª belouedª° and anotherª hated,ª° and they haue borneª° him children,ª [both] the beloned,ª° and the hated:ª° and if the first borneª sonneª be¹ hers that was hated:ª

And if a man have two wives, the one loved and the other hated, and both the loved and the hated should have born him [children], and the son of the hated should be first-born;
