Then Jehovah opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of Jehovah standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and he bowed his head, and fell on his face.

Then the LORDª openedª°¹ the eyesª of Balaam,ª and he sawª°¹ the angelª of the LORDª standingª° in the way,ª and his swordª drawnª° in his hand:ª and he bowed down²° his head,¹ and fell flatª° on his face.ª

And God opened the eyes of Balaam, and he sees the angel of the Lord withstanding [him] in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand, and he stooped down and worshipped on his face.
