And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife. And how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die because of her.

And Abimelechª calledª° Isaac,ª and said,ª° Behold,¹ of a suretyª she¹ [is] thy wife:ª and how¹ saidstª° thou, She¹ [is] my sister?ª And Isaacª saidª° unto¹ him, Because¹ I said,ª° Lest¹ I dieª° for¹ her.

And Abimelechª calledª° Isaacª and said,ª° Behold,¹ of a suretieª she¹ is thy wife:ª and how¹ saidstª° thou, She¹ is my sister?ª And Isaacª saidª° vnto¹ him, Because¹ I said,ª° Lest¹ I dieª° for¹ her.

And Abimelech called Isaac, and said to him, Is she then thy wife? why hast thou said, She is my sister? And Isaac said to him, [I did so], for I said, Lest at any time I die on her account.

And ´Ávîmeleȼ אֲבִימֶלֶךª calledª° Yixçäk יִצחָק,ª and said,ª° Behold,¹ of a suretyª she¹ [is] thy wife:ª and how¹ saidstª° thou, She¹ [is] my sister?ª And Yixçäk יִצחָקª saidª° unto¹ him, Because¹ I said,ª° Lest¹ I dieª° for¹ her.
