Titus 2

1 Directions given unto Titus both for his doctrine and life. 9 Of the duty of servants, and in general of all Christians.

 2:1 But as for you, speak 2980 the things which 3739 are fitting 4241 for sound 5198 doctrine 1319.

 2:2 Older 4246 men 4246 are to be temperate 3524, dignified 4586, sensible 4998, sound 5198 in faith 4102, in love 26, in perseverance 5281.

 2:3 ¶ Older 4247 women 4247 likewise 5615 are to be reverent 2412 in their behavior 2688, not malicious 1228 gossips 1228 nor 3366 enslaved 1402 to much 4183 wine 3631, teaching 2567 what 2567 is good 2567,

 2:4 so 2443 that they may encourage 4994 the young 3501b women 3501b to love 5362 their husbands 5362, to love 5388 their children 5388,

 2:5 [to be] sensible 4998, pure 53, workers 3626 at home 3626, kind 18, being subject 5293 to their own 2398 husbands 435, so 2443 that the word 3056 of God 2316 will not be dishonored 987.

 2:6 ¶ Likewise 5615 urge 3870 the young 3501b men 3501b to be sensible 4993;

 2:7 in all 3956 things 3956 show 3930 yourself 4572 to be an example 5179b of good 2570 deeds 2041, [with] purity 862b in doctrine 1319, dignified 4587,

 2:8 sound 5199 [in] speech 3056 which 176 is beyond 176 reproach 176, so 2443 that the opponent 1727 will be put 1788 to shame 1788, having 2192 nothing 3367 bad 5337 to say 3004 about 4012 us.

 2:9 ¶ [Urge] bondslaves 1401 to be subject 5293 to their own 2398 masters 1203 in everything 3956, to be well-pleasing 2101, not argumentative 483,

 2:10 not pilfering 3557, but showing 1731 all 3956 good 18 faith 4102 so 2443 that they will adorn 2885 the doctrine 1319 of God 2316 our Savior 4990 in every 3956 respect 3956.

 2:11 ¶ For the grace 5485 of God 2316 has appeared 2014, bringing 4992 salvation 4992 to all 3956 men 444,

 2:12 instructing 3811 us to deny 720 ungodliness 763 and worldly 2886 desires 1939 and to live 2198 sensibly 4996, righteously 1346 and godly 2153 in the present 3568 age 165,

 2:13 looking 4327 for the blessed 3107 hope 1680 and the appearing 2015 of the glory 1391 of our great 3173 God 2316 and Savior 4990, Christ 5547 Jesus 2424,

 2:14 who 3739 gave 1325 Himself 1438 for us to redeem 3084 us from every 3956 lawless 458 deed 458, and to purify 2511 for Himself 1438 a people 2992 for His own 1438 possession 4041, zealous 2207 for good 2570 deeds 2041.

 2:15 ¶ These 3778 things 3778 speak 2980 and exhort 3870 and reprove 1651 with all 3956 authority 2003. Let no 3367 one 3367 disregard 4065 you.
