Jonah 2

1 The prayer of Jonah. 10 He is delivered from the fish.

 2:1 Then Jonah 3124 prayed 6419 to the LORD 3068 his God 430 from the stomach 4578 of the fish 1710,

 2:2 and he said 559, “I called 7121 out of my distress 6869a to the LORD 3068, And He answered 6030a me. I cried 7768 for help 7768 from the depth 990 of Sheol 7585; You heard 8085 my voice 6963.

 2:3 “For You had cast 7993 me into the deep 4688, Into the heart 3824 of the seas 3220, And the current 5104 engulfed 5437 me. All 3605 Your breakers 4867 and billows 1530 passed 5674a over 5921 me.

 2:4 “So I said 559, ‘I have been expelled 1644 from Your sight 5869. Nevertheless 389 I will look 5027 again 3254 toward 413 Your holy 6944 temple 1964.’

 2:5 “Water 4325 encompassed 661 me to the point of death 5315. The great deep 8415 engulfed 5437 me, Weeds 5488 were wrapped 2280 around my head 7218.

 2:6 “I descended 3381 to the roots 7095 of the mountains 2022. The earth 776 with its bars 1280 [was] around 1157 me forever 5769, But You have brought 5927 up my life 2425b from the pit 7845, O LORD 3068 my God 430.

 2:7 “While I was fainting 5848c away 5848c, I remembered 2142 the LORD 3068, And my prayer 8605 came 935 to You, Into Your holy 6944 temple 1964.

 2:8 “Those who regard 8104 vain 7723 idols 1892 Forsake 5800a their faithfulness 2617a,

 2:9 But I will sacrifice 2076 to You With the voice 6963 of thanksgiving 8426. That which 834 I have vowed 5087 I will pay 7999a. Salvation 3444 is from the LORD 3068.”

 2:10 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 commanded 559 the fish 1709, and it vomited 7006a Jonah 3124 up onto 413 the dry 3004 land 3004.
