Joel 3

1 God's judgment against the enemies of his people. 9 God will be known in his judgment. 18 His blessing upon the Church.

 3:1 “For behold 2009, in those 1992a days 3117 and at that time 6256, When 834 I restore 7725 the fortunes 7622 of Judah 3063 and Jerusalem 3389,

 3:2 I will gather 6908 all 3605 the nations 1471 And bring 3381 them down 3381 to the valley 6010 of Jehoshaphat 3092. Then I will enter 8199 into judgment 8199 with them there 8033 On behalf 5921 of My people 5971a and My inheritance 5159, Israel 3478, Whom 834 they have scattered 6340 among the nations 1471; And they have divided 2505a up My land 776.

 3:3 “They have also cast 3032 lots 1486 for My people 5971a, Traded 5414 a boy 3206 for a harlot 2181 And sold 4376 a girl 3207 for wine 3196 that they may drink 8354.

 3:4 “Moreover 1571, what 4100 are you to Me, O Tyre 6865, Sidon 6721 and all 3605 the regions 1552 of Philistia 6429? Are you rendering 7999a Me a recompense 1576? But if 518 you do recompense 1580 Me, swiftly 7031 and speedily 4120 I will return 7725 your recompense 1576 on your head 7218.

 3:5 “Since 834 you have taken 3947 My silver 3701 and My gold 2091, brought 935 My precious 4261 treasures 4261 to your temples 1964,

 3:6 and sold 4376 the sons 1121 of Judah 3063 and Jerusalem 3389 to the Greeks 3125 in order 4616 to remove 7368 them far 7368 from their territory 1366,

 3:7 behold 2009, I am going to arouse 5782 them from the place 4725 where 834 8033 you have sold 4376 them, and return 7725 your recompense 1576 on your head 7218.

 3:8 “Also I will sell 4376 your sons 1121 and your daughters 1323 into the hand 3027 of the sons 1121 of Judah 3063, and they will sell 4376 them to the Sabeans 7615, to a distant 7350 nation 1471,” for the LORD 3068 has spoken 1696.

 3:9 ¶ Proclaim 7121 this 2088 among the nations 1471: Prepare 6942 a war 4421; rouse 5782 the mighty 1368 men 1368! Let all 3605 the soldiers 582 4421 draw 5066 near 5066, let them come 5927 up!

 3:10 Beat 3807 your plowshares 855a into swords 2719 And your pruning 4211 hooks 4211 into spears 7420; Let the weak 2523 say 559, “I am a mighty 1368 man 1368.”

 3:11 Hasten 5789 and come 935, all 3605 you surrounding 5439 nations 1471, And gather 6908 yourselves there 8033. Bring 5181 down 5181, O LORD 3068, Your mighty 1368 ones 1368.

 3:12 Let the nations 1471 be aroused 5782 And come 5927 up to the valley 6010 of Jehoshaphat 3092, For there 8033 I will sit 3427 to judge 8199 All 3605 the surrounding 5439 nations 1471.

 3:13 Put 7971 in the sickle 4038, for the harvest 7105a is ripe 1310. Come 935, tread 3381, for the wine 1660 press 1660 is full 4390; The vats 3342 overflow 7783, for their wickedness 7463a is great 7227a.

 3:14 Multitudes 1995, multitudes 1995 in the valley 6010 of decision 2742b! For the day 3117 of the LORD 3068 is near 7138 in the valley 6010 of decision 2742b.

 3:15 The sun 8121 and moon 3394 grow 6937 dark 6937 And the stars 3556 lose 622 their brightness 5051.

 3:16 The LORD 3068 roars 7580 from Zion 6726 And utters 5414 His voice 6963 from Jerusalem 3389, And the heavens 8064 and the earth 776 tremble 7493. But the LORD 3068 is a refuge 4268 for His people 5971a And a stronghold 4581 to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478.

 3:17 Then you will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068 your God 430, Dwelling 7931 in Zion 6726, My holy 6944 mountain 2022. So Jerusalem 3389 will be holy 6944, And strangers 2114a will pass 5674a through it no 3808 more 5750.

 3:18 ¶ And in that day 3117 The mountains 2022 will drip 5197 with sweet 6071 wine 6071, And the hills 1389 will flow 1980 with milk 2461, And all 3605 the brooks 650 of Judah 3063 will flow 1980 with water 4325; And a spring 4599 will go 3318 out from the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 To water 8248 the valley 5158a of Shittim 7851.

 3:19 Egypt 4714 will become 1961 a waste 8077, And Edom 112b will become 1961 a desolate 8077 wilderness 4057b, Because 4480 of the violence 2555 done to the sons 1121 of Judah 3063, In whose 834 land 776 they have shed 8210 innocent 5355b blood 1818.

 3:20 But Judah 3063 will be inhabited 3427 forever 5769 And Jerusalem 3389 for all 1755 generations 1755.

 3:21 And I will avenge 5352 their blood 1818 which I have not avenged 5352, For the LORD 3068 dwells 7931 in Zion 6726.
