1 He advertiseth him of the times to come, 6 describeth the enemies of the truth, 10 propoundeth unto him his own example, 16 and commendeth the holy Scriptures.

 3:1 But realize 1097 this 3778, that in the last 2078 days 2250 difficult 5467 times 2540 will come 1764.

 3:2 For men 444 will be lovers 5367 of self 5367, lovers 5366 of money 5366, boastful 213, arrogant 5244a, revilers 989, disobedient 545 to parents 1118, ungrateful 884, unholy 462,

 3:3 unloving 794, irreconcilable 786, malicious 1228 gossips 1228, without 193 self-control 193, brutal 434, haters 865 of good 865,

 3:4 treacherous 4273, reckless 4312, conceited 5187, lovers 5369 of pleasure 5369 rather 3123 than 2228 lovers 5377 of God 5377,

 3:5 holding 2192 to a form 3446 of godliness 2150, although they have denied 720 its power 1411; Avoid 665 such men as these 3778.

 3:6 For among 1537 them are those 3588 who enter 1746a into households 3614 and captivate 163 weak 1133 women 1133 weighed 4987 down 4987 with sins 266, led 71 on by various 4164 impulses 1939,

 3:7 always 3842 learning 3129 and never 3368 able 1410 to come 2064 to the knowledge 1922 of the truth 225.

 3:8 Just 3739 as Jannes 2389 and Jambres 2387 opposed 436 Moses 3475, so 3779 these 3778 [men] also 2532 oppose 436 the truth 225, men 444 of depraved 2704 mind 3563, rejected 96b in regard 4012 to the faith 4102.

 3:9 But they will not make 4298 further 1909 4183 progress 4298; for their folly 454 will be obvious 1552 to all 3956, just 2532 as Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly 454 was also 2532.

 3:10 ¶ Now you followed 3877 my teaching 1319, conduct 72, purpose 4286, faith 4102, patience 3115, love 26, perseverance 5281,

 3:11 persecutions 1375, [and] sufferings 3804, such 3634 as happened 1096 to me at Antioch 490, at Iconium 2430 [and] at Lystra 3082; what 3634 persecutions 1375 I endured 5297, and out of them all 3956 the Lord 2962 rescued 4506 me!

 3:12 Indeed 2532, all 3956 who desire 2309 to live 2198 godly 2153 in Christ 5547 Jesus 2424 will be persecuted 1377.

 3:13 But evil 4190 men 444 and impostors 1114 will proceed 4298 [from bad] to worse 5501, deceiving 4105 and being deceived 4105.

 3:14 You, however 1161, continue 3306 in the things 3739 you have learned 3129 and become convinced 4104 of, knowing 3609a from whom 5101 you have learned 3129 [them],

 3:15 and that from childhood 1025 you have known 3609a the sacred 2413 writings 1121 which are able 1410 to give 4679 you the wisdom 4679 that leads 1519 to salvation 4991 through 1223 faith 4102 which is in Christ 5547 Jesus 2424.

 3:16 All 3956 Scripture 1124 is inspired 2315 by God 2315 and profitable 5624 for teaching 1319, for reproof 1649a, for correction 1882, for training 3809 in righteousness 1343;

 3:17 so 2443 that the man 444 of God 2316 may be adequate 739, equipped 1822 for every 3956 good 18 work 2041.
