Numbers 20

1 The children of Israel come to Zin, where Miriam dieth. 2 They murmur for want of water. 7 Moses, smiting the rock, bringeth forth water at Meribah. 14 Moses at Kadesh desireth passage through Edom, which is denied him. 22 At mount Hor Aaron resigneth his place to Eleazar, and dieth.

 20:1 ¶ Then came 935 z8799 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 [even] the whole x3605 congregation, 5712 into the desert 4057 of Zin 6790 in the first 7223 month: 2320 and the people 5971 abode 3427 z8799 in Kadesh; 6946 and Miriam 4813 died 4191 z8799 there, x8033 and was buried 6912 z8735 there. x8033

 20:2 And there was x1961 no x3808 water 4325 for the congregation: 5712 and they gathered y6950 z8735 themselves together x6950 against x5921 Moses 4872 and against x5921 Aaron. 175

 20:3 And the people 5971 chode 7378 z8799 with x5973 Moses, 4872 and spake, 559 z8799 saying, 559 z8800 Would God x3863 that y3863 we had died 1478 z8804 when our brethren 251 died 1478 z8800 before 6440 Yahweh! 3068

 20:4 And why x4100 have ye brought up 935 z8689 x853 the congregation 6951 of Yahweh 3068 into x413 this x2088 wilderness, 4057 that we x587 and our cattle 1165 should die 4191 z8800 there? x8033

 20:5 And wherefore x4100 have ye made us to come up 5927 z8689 out of Egypt, 4714 x4480 to bring y935 z8687 us in x935 x853 unto x413 this x2088 evil 7451 place? 4725 it [is] no x3808 place 4725 of seed, 2233 or of figs, 8384 or of vines, 1612 or of pomegranates; 7416 neither x369 [is] there any water 4325 to drink. 8354 z8800

 20:6 And Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 went 935 z8799 from the presence 6440 x4480 of the assembly 6951 unto x413 the door 6607 of the tabernacle 168 of the congregation, 4150 and they fell 5307 z8799 upon x5921 their faces: 6440 and the glory 3519 of Yahweh 3068 appeared 7200 z8735 unto x413 them.

 20:7 ¶ And Yahweh 3068 spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 20:8 Take 3947 z8798 x853 the rod, 4294 and gather y6950 z8685 thou the assembly y5712 together, x6950 x853 x5712 thou, x859 and Aaron 175 thy brother, 251 and speak 1696 z8765 ye unto x413 the rock 5553 before their eyes; 5869 and it shall give forth 5414 z8804 his water, 4325 and thou shalt bring forth 3318 z8689 to them water 4325 out of x4480 the rock: 5553 so thou shalt give y8248 z0 x853 the congregation 5712 and their beasts 1165 drink. 8248 z8689

 20:9 And Moses 4872 took 3947 z8799 x853 the rod 4294 from before 6440 x4480 Yahweh, 3068 as x834 he commanded 6680 z8765 him.

 20:10 And Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 gathered y6950 z8686 the congregation y6951 together x6950 x853 x6951 before 6440 x413 the rock, 5553 and he said 559 z8799 unto them, Hear 8085 z8798 now, x4994 ye rebels; 4784 z8802 must we fetch 3318 z8686 you water 4325 out of x4480 this x2088 rock? 5553

 20:11 And Moses 4872 lifted up 7311 z8686 x853 his hand, 3027 and with his rod 4294 he smote 5221 z8686 x853 the rock 5553 twice: 6471 and the water 4325 came out 3318 z8799 abundantly, 7227 and the congregation 5712 drank, 8354 z8799 and their beasts 1165 [also].

 20:12 ¶ And Yahweh 3068 spake 559 z8799 unto x413 Moses 4872 and Aaron, 175 Because x3282 ye believed 539 z8689 me not, x3808 to sanctify 6942 z8687 me in the eyes 5869 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 therefore x3651 ye shall not x3808 bring 935 z8686 x853 this x2088 congregation 6951 into x413 the land 776 which x834 I have given 5414 z8804 them.

 20:13 This x1992 [is] y1992 the water 4325 of Meribah; 4809 because x834 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 strove 7378 z8804 with x854 Yahweh, 3068 and he was sanctified 6942 z8735 in them.

 20:14 ¶ And Moses 4872 sent 7971 z8799 messengers 4397 from Kadesh 6946 x4480 unto x413 the king 4428 of Edom, 123 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 thy brother 251 Israel, 3478 Thou x859 knowest 3045 z8804 x853 all x3605 the travail 8513 that x834 hath befallen 4672 z8804 us:

 20:15 How our fathers 1 went down 3381 z8799 into Egypt, 4714 and we have dwelt 3427 z8799 in Egypt 4714 a long 7227 time; 3117 and the Egyptians 4714 vexed 7489 z8686 us, and our fathers: 1

 20:16 And when we cried 6817 z8799 unto x413 Yahweh, 3068 he heard 8085 z8799 our voice, 6963 and sent 7971 z8799 an angel, 4397 and hath brought us forth 3318 z8686 out of Egypt: 4714 x4480 and, behold, x2009 we x587 [are] in Kadesh, 6946 a city 5892 in the uttermost 7097 of thy border: 1366

 20:17 Let us pass, 5674 z8799 I pray thee, x4994 through thy country: 776 we will not x3808 pass y5674 z8799 through x5674 the fields, 7704 or through the vineyards, 3754 neither x3808 will we drink 8354 z8799 [of] the water 4325 of the wells: 875 we will go y3212 z8799 x1980 by the king's 4428 [high] way, 1870 we will not x3808 turn 5186 z8799 to the right hand 3225 nor to the left, 8040 until x5704 x834 we have passed 5674 z8799 thy borders. 1366

 20:18 And Edom 123 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Thou shalt not x3808 pass 5674 z8799 by me, lest x6435 I come out 3318 z8799 against 7125 z8800 thee with the sword. 2719

 20:19 And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, We will go 5927 z8799 by the high way: 4546 and if x518 I x589 and my cattle 4735 drink 8354 z8799 of thy water, 4325 then I will pay 5414 4377 z8804 for it: I will only, x7535 without x369 [doing] any thing 1697 [else], go through 5674 z8799 on my feet. 7272

 20:20 And he said, 559 z8799 Thou shalt not x3808 go through. 5674 z8799 And Edom 123 came out 3318 z8799 against 7125 z8800 him with much 3515 people, 5971 and with a strong 2389 hand. 3027

 20:21 Thus Edom 123 refused 3985 z8762 to give 5414 z8800 x853 Israel 3478 passage 5674 z8800 through his border: 1366 wherefore Israel 3478 turned away 5186 z8799 from x4480 x5921 him.

 20:22 ¶ And the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 [even] the whole x3605 congregation, 5712 journeyed 5265 z8799 from Kadesh, 6946 x4480 and came 935 z8799 unto mount 2022 Hor. 2023

 20:23 And Yahweh 3068 spake 559 z8799 unto x413 Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 in mount 2022 Hor, 2023 by x5921 the coast 1366 of the land 776 of Edom, 123 saying, 559 z8800

 20:24 Aaron 175 shall be gathered 622 z8735 unto x413 his people: 5971 for x3588 he shall not x3808 enter 935 z8799 into x413 the land 776 which x834 I have given 5414 z8804 unto the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 because x5921 x834 ye rebelled against 4784 z8804 x853 my word 6310 at the water 4325 of Meribah. 4809

 20:25 Take 3947 z8798 x853 Aaron 175 and Eleazar 499 his son, 1121 and bring them up 5927 z8685 x853 unto mount 2022 Hor: 2023

 20:26 And strip 6584 z8685 x853 Aaron 175 x853 of his garments, 899 and put y3847 z8689 them upon x3847 x853 Eleazar 499 his son: 1121 and Aaron 175 shall be gathered 622 z8735 [unto his people], and shall die 4191 z8804 there. x8033

 20:27 And Moses 4872 did 6213 z8799 as x834 Yahweh 3068 commanded: 6680 z8765 and they went up 5927 z8799 into x413 mount 2022 Hor 2023 in the sight 5869 of all x3605 the congregation. 5712

 20:28 And Moses 4872 stripped 6584 z8686 x853 Aaron 175 x853 of his garments, 899 and put y3847 z8686 them upon 853 x3847 Eleazar 499 his son; 1121 and Aaron 175 died 4191 z8799 there x8033 in the top 7218 of the mount: 2022 and Moses 4872 and Eleazar 499 came down 3381 z8799 from x4480 the mount. 2022

 20:29 And when all x3605 the congregation 5712 saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 Aaron 175 was dead, 1478 z8804 they mourned 1058 z8799 for x853 Aaron 175 thirty 7970 days, 3117 [even] all x3605 the house 1004 of Israel. 3478
