Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
shewed°°
unto me; and, behold,°
he formed°°
grasshoppers°
in the beginning°
of the shooting up°°
of the latter growth;°
and, lo,°
[it was] the latter growth°
after°
the king's°
mowings.° |

7:1 ¶
Thus hath Adonay Yahweh shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, [it was] the latter growth after the king's mowings. |

And it came to pass,°
[that] when°
they had made an end°°
of eating°°°
the grass°
of the land,°
then I said,°°
O

אֲדֹנָי°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
forgive,°°
I beseech thee:°
by whom°
shall
Ya`áköv
יַעֲקֹב°
arise?°°
for°
he°
[is] small.° |

And it came to pass, [that] when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Adonay Yahweh, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Yaaqov arise? for he [is] small. |

this:°
It shall not°
be,°
saith°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

Yahweh repented for this: It shall not be, saith Yahweh. |

shewed°°
unto me: and, behold,°

Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
called°°
to contend°°
by fire,°
and it devoured°°°
the great°
deep,°
and did eat up°°°
a part.° |

Thus hath Adonay Yahweh shewed unto me: and, behold, Adonay Yahweh called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part. |

Then said°°
I, O
´Áđönäy
אֲדֹנָי°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
cease,°°
I beseech thee:°
by whom°
shall
Ya`áköv
יַעֲקֹב°
arise?°°
for°
he°
[is] small.° |

Then said I, O Adonay Yahweh, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Yaaqov arise? for he [is] small. |

for°
this:°
This°
also°
shall not°
be,°

Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

Yahweh repented for this: This also shall not be, saith Adonay Yahweh. |

he shewed°°
me: and, behold,°

יָהוֶה°
stood°°
upon°
a wall°
[made] by a plumbline,°
with a plumbline°
in his hand.° |

7:7 ¶
Thus he shewed me: and, behold, Yahweh stood upon a wall [made] by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand. |

And

unto°
me,
`Ämôs
עָמוֹס,°
what°
seest°°
thou?°
And I said,°°
A plumbline.°
Then said°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
Behold,°
I will set°°
a plumbline°
in the midst°
of my people°
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל:°
I will not°
again°°
pass°
by°°
them any more:° |

And Yahweh said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said Yahweh, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Yisrael: I will not again pass by them any more: |

And the high places°
of
Yiŝçäk
יִשׂחָק°
shall be desolate,°°
and the sanctuaries°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
shall be laid waste;°°
and I will rise°°
against°
the house°
of
Yorov`äm
יָרָבעָם°
with the sword.° |

And the high places of Yischaq shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Yisrael shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Yorovam with the sword. |

king°

`Ämôs
עָמוֹס°
hath conspired°°
against°
thee in the midst°
of the house°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל:°
the land°
is not able°°°
to bear°°°
all°
his words.° |

Then Amatzyah the priest of Beth-El sent to Yorovam king of Yisrael, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Yisrael: the land is not able to bear all his words. |

Yorov`äm
יָרָבעָם°
shall die°°
by the sword,°
and
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
shall surely°°
be led away captive°°
out of°°
their own land.° |

For thus Amos saith, Yorovam shall die by the sword, and Yisrael shall surely be led away captive out of their own land. |

Also Amatzyah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Yehudah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: |

it°
[is] the king's°
chapel,°
and it°
[is] the king's°
court.° |

But prophesy not again any more at Beth-El: for it [is] the king's chapel, and it [is] the king's court. |

to°
´Ámaxyà
אֲמַציָה,°
I°
[was] no°
prophet,°
neither°
[was] I°
a prophet's°
son;°
but°
I°
[was] an herdman,°
and a gatherer°°
of sycomore fruit:° |

Then answered Amos, and said to Amatzyah, I [was] no prophet, neither [was] I a prophet's son; but I [was] an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: |

And Yahweh took me as I followed the flock, and Yahweh said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Yisrael. |

Prophesy°°
not°
against°
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
and drop°°
not°
[thy word] against°
the house°
of
Yiŝçäk
יִשׂחָק.° |

Now therefore hear thou the word of Yahweh: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Yisrael, and drop not [thy word] against the house of Yischaq. |

Therefore°

יָהוֶה;°
Thy wife°
shall be an harlot°°
in the city,°
and thy sons°
and thy daughters°
shall fall°°
by the sword,°
and thy land°
shall be divided°°
by line;°
and thou°
shalt die°°
in°
a polluted°
land:°
and
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
shall surely°°
go into captivity°°
forth of°°
his land.° |

Therefore thus saith Yahweh; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Yisrael shall surely go into captivity forth of his land. |
