Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints.

Beloved,ª when I gaveª° allª diligenceª to writeª° unto youª ofª the¹ commonª salvation,ª it was²° needfulª¹ for me²° to writeª° unto you,ª and exhortª° [you] that ye should earnestly contend²° for¹ the¹ faithª which was onceª deliveredª° unto the¹ saints.ª

Ἀγαπητοί, πᾶσαν σπουδὴν ποιούμενος γράφειν ὑμῖν περὶ τῆς κοινῆς ἡμῶν σωτηρίας ἀνάγκην ἔσχον γράψαι ὑμῖν παρακαλῶν ἐπαγωνίζεσθαι τῇ ἅπαξ παραδοθείσῃ τοῖς ἁγίοις πίστει.
