I have written unto you, fathers, because ye know him who is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the evil one.

I have writtenª° unto you,ª fathers,ª becauseª ye have knownª° him¹ [that is] fromª the beginning.ª I have writtenª° unto you,ª young men,ª becauseª ye areª° strong,ª andª the¹ wordª of Godª abidethª° inª you,ª andª ye have overcomeª° the¹ wicked one.ª

I haue writtenª° vnto you,ª fathers,ª becauseª ye haue knowenª° him¹ [that is] fromª the beginning.ª I haue writtenª° vnto you,ª young men,ª becauseª yee areª° strong,ª andª the¹ wordª of Godª abidethª° inª you,ª andª yee haue ouercomeª° the¹ wicked one.ª

I have written to you, children, because you have known the Father. I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who (hath been) from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of Aloha remaineth in you, and you have overcome the wicked.

I have written to you, ye little ones, because ye have known the Father. I have written to you, ye fathers, because ye have known him who [was] from the beginning, I have written to you, ye young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God dwelleth in you, and ye have vanquished the evil one.

ἔγραψα ὑμῖν, πατέρες, ὅτι ἐγνώκατε τὸν ἀπ' ἀρχῆς: ἔγραψα ὑμῖν, νεανίσκοι, ὅτι ἰσχυροί ἐστε καὶ ὁ λόγος [τοῦ θεοῦ] ἐν ὑμῖν μένει καὶ νενικήκατε τὸν πονηρόν.

I-scribed unto-ye, Fathers, to-which-a-one ye-had-come-to-acquaint to-the-one off of-a-firsting; I-scribed unto-ye, Youthed-of, to-which-a-one force-held ye-be and the-one a-forthee [of-the-one of-a-Deity] in unto-ye it-stayeth and ye-had-come-to-conquer-unto to-the-one to-en-necessitated.
