For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

For it had been more tolerable for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, when they knew, to turn backward from the holy commandment delivered to them.

For it would have been better for them, not to have known the way of righteousness, than after having known [it], to turn back from the holy commandment that was delivered to them.

κρεῖττον γὰρ ἦν αὐτοῖς μὴ ἐπεγνωκέναι τὴν ὁδὸν τῆς δικαιοσύνης ἢ ἐπιγνοῦσιν ὑποστρέψαι ἐκ τῆς παραδοθείσης αὐτοῖς ἁγίας ἐντολῆς:

More-superior therefore it-was unto-them lest to-have-had-come-to-acquaint-upon to-the-one to-a-way of-the-one of-a-course-belongedness or unto-having-had-acquainted-upon to-have-beturned-under out of-the-one of-having-been-given-beside unto-them of-hallow-belonged of-a-finishing-in.
