For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall both live, and do this or that.

For¹ that² yeª [ought] to say,ª° Ifª the¹ Lordª will,ª°² we shall¹ live,ª°°° andª doª°°° this,ª orª that.ª

For¹ that² yeeª ought to say,ª° ifª the¹ Lordª will,ª°² we shall¹ liue,ª°°° andª doeª°°° this,ª orª that.ª

For instead they should say, If the Lord will, and we live, we will do this or that.

Whereas they should say: If the Lord please, and we live, we will do this or that.

ἀντὶ τοῦ λέγειν ὑμᾶς Ἐὰν ὁ κύριος θέλῃ, καὶ ζήσομεν καὶ ποιήσομεν τοῦτο ἢ ἐκεῖνο.
