See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not when they refused him that warned [them] on earth, much more [shall not] we [escape] who turn away from him that [warneth] from heaven:

Seeª° that ye refuseª° notª him that speaketh.ª° Forª ifª theyª escapedª° notª who refused¹ him²° that spakeª° onª earth,ª muchª moreª [shall not] weª [escape], if we turn away from¹ him²°¹ that [speaketh] fromª heaven:ª

Beware, therefore, lest ye be averse from Him who hath spoken with you; for if they escaped not who were averse from one who spake with them on earth, how much less we, if we withdraw from one who hath spoken to us from heaven?

Beware, therefore, lest ye refuse [to hear] him who speaketh with you. For if they escaped not, who refused [to hear] him who spake with them on the earth, how much more shall we not, if we refuse [to hear] him who speaketh with us from heaven?

Βλέπετε μὴ παραιτήσησθε τὸν λαλοῦντα: εἰ γὰρ ἐκεῖνοι οὐκ ἐξέφυγον ἐπὶ γῆς παραιτησάμενοι τὸν χρηματίζοντα, πολὺ μᾶλλον ἡμεῖς οἱ τὸν ἀπ' οὐρανῶν ἀποστρεφόμενοι:

Ye-should-view lest ye-might-have-appealed-beside-unto to-the-one to-speaking-unto; if therefore the-ones-thither not they-had-fled-out upon of-a-soil having-appealed-beside-unto to-the-one to-affording-to, to-much more-such we the-ones to-the-one off of-skies beturning-off;
