for this cause, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith:

Therefore,ªª brethren,ª we were comfortedª° overª youª inª allª ourª afflictionª andª distressª byª yourª faith:ª

on this account we were comforted in you, my brethren, in all our anxieties and our afflictions because of your faith.
