And by reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted overmuch, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted overmuch.

Andª lestª I should be exalted above measureª° through the¹ abundanceª of the¹ revelations,ª there was givenª° to meª a thornª in the¹ flesh,ª the messengerª of Satanª toª buffetª° me,ª lestª I should be exalted above measure.ª°

Andª leastª I should bee exalted aboue measureª° through the¹ abundanceª of the¹ reuelations,ª there was giuenª° to meª a thorneª in the¹ flesh,ª the messengerª of Sathanª toª buffetª° me,ª lestª I should be exalted aboue measure.ª°

And that I might not be exalted by the abundance of revelations, there was delivered to me a stimulus of my flesh, an angel of Satana to buffet me, that I might not be exalted.

And, that I might not be uplifted by the excellency of the revelations, there was imparted to me a thorn in my flesh, the angel of Satan, to buffet me, that I might not be uplifted.

καὶ τῇ ὑπερβολῇ τῶν ἀποκαλύψεων. διὸ ἵνα μὴ ὑπεραίρωμαι, ἐδόθη μοι σκόλοψ τῇ σαρκί, ἄγγελος Σατανᾶ, ἵνα με κολαφίζῃ, ἵνα μὴ ὑπεραίρωμαι.

and unto-the-one unto-a-casting-over of-the-ones of-shroudings-off. Through-which so lest I-might-be-lifted-over, it-was-given unto-me a-pale unto-the-one unto-a-flesh, a-messenger of-a-satan, so to-me it-might-pelt-to so lest I-might-be-lifted-over.
