I thought it necessary therefore to entreat the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your aforepromised bounty, that the same might be ready as a matter of bounty, and not of extortion. |

Therefore ª
I thought ª°
it necessary ª
to exhort ª°
the ¹
brethren, ª
that ª
they would go before ª°
unto ª
you, ª
and ª
make up beforehand ª°
your ª
bounty, ª
whereof ye had notice before, ª°
that the same ª
might be ª°
ready, ªª
as ª
[ a matter of] bounty, ª
and ª
not ª
as ª
[ of] covetousness. ª |

Therefore ª
I thought ª°
it necessary ª
to exhort ª°
the ¹
brethren, ª
that ª
they would go before ª°
vnto ª
you, ª
and ª
make vp before hand ª°
your ª
bountie, ª
whereof yee had notice before, ª°
that the same ª
might bee ª°
readie, ªª
as ª
a matter of bountie, ªª
not ªª
of couetousnesse. ª |

For this cause I have been careful to entreat of these brethren to go before to you, to make ready that blessing of which you have caused to be heard before; that it may be prepared, so as that it may be [considered as] a blessing, [and] not as [the reluctant contribution of] avarice. |
|
|
Therefore I was careful to request these my brethren, to go before me unto you, that they might make up this benefaction, of which ye were advised long before to have it ready, as being a benefaction, and not a matter of cupidity. |
