For behold, this selfsame thing, that ye were made sorry after a godly sort, what earnest care it wrought in you, yea what clearing of yourselves, yea what indignation, yea what fear, yea what longing, yea what zeal, yea what avenging! In everything ye approved yourselves to be pure in the matter.

Forª beholdª° thisª selfsame thing,ª that² ye¹ sorrowedª° after² a godly sort,ª¹ whatª carefulnessª it wroughtª° in you,ª yea,ª [what] clearing of yourselves,ª yea,ª [what] indignation,ª yea,ª [what] fear,ª yea,ª [what] vehement desire,ª yea,ª [what] zeal,ª yea,ª [what] revenge!ª Inª allª [things] ye have approvedª° yourselvesª to beª° clearª inª this matter.ª

For, behold, (in) this very (case) that you were made contrite for the sake of Aloha; what carefulness it wrought in you, and vindication, and displeasure, and fear, and love, and zeal, and punishment! And [thus] by every thing have you shown yourselves to be [now] pure in this matter.

For behold this same thing, that ye were distressed on account of God, what solicitude it wrought in you, and apologizing and indignation, and fear, and love, and zeal, and revenge? And in all things ye have shown, that ye are [now] pure in that matter.

ἰδοὺ γὰρ αὐτὸ τοῦτο τὸ κατὰ θεὸν λυπηθῆναι πόσην κατειργάσατο ὑμῖν σπουδήν, ἀλλὰ ἀπολογίαν, ἀλλὰ ἀγανάκτησιν, ἀλλὰ φόβον, ἀλλὰ ἐπιπόθησιν, ἀλλὰ ζῆλον, ἀλλὰ ἐκδίκησιν: ἐν παντὶ συνεστήσατε ἑαυτοὺς ἁγνοὺς εἶναι τῷ πράγματι.

Thou-should-have-had-seen therefore, it the-one-this the-one down to-a-Deity to-have-been-saddened-unto to-whither-which it-down-worked-to unto-ye to-a-hastening, other to-a-fortheeing-off-unto, other to-an-excess-vexing, other to-a-fearee, other to-a-yearning-upon, other to-a-craving, other to-a-coursing-out; in unto-all ye-stood-together to-selves to-pure to-be unto-the-one unto-a-practicing-to.
