I now rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye were made sorry unto repentance; for ye were made sorry after a godly sort, that ye might suffer loss by us in nothing.

Nowª I rejoice,ª° notª thatª ye were made sorry,ª° butª thatª ye sorrowedª° toª repentance:ª forª ye were made sorryª° after² a godly manner,ª¹ thatª ye might receive damageª° byª usª inª nothing.ª

Nowª I reioyce,ª° notª thatª ye were made sorie,ª° butª thatª ye sorrowedª° toª repentance:ª forª ye were made sorieª° after² a godly maner,ª¹ thatª ye might receiue damageª° byª vsª inª nothing.ª

but now I exercise joy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow hath brought you to repentance. For you were sorry towards Aloha; so that in nothing will you suffer loss from us.

yet it procured me joy, not because ye had sorrow, but because your sorrow brought you to repentance; for ye sorrowed in godly sorrow; so that ye received no detriment from us.

νῦν χαίρω, οὐχ ὅτι ἐλυπήθητε, ἀλλ' ὅτι ἐλυπήθητε εἰς μετάνοιαν, ἐλυπήθητε γὰρ κατὰ θεόν, ἵνα ἐν μηδενὶ ζημιωθῆτε ἐξ ἡμῶν.

now I-joy, not to-which-a-one ye-were-saddened-unto, other to-which-a-one ye-were-saddened-unto into to-a-considering-with-unto, ye-were-saddened-unto therefore down to-a-Deity, so in unto-lest-moreover-one ye-might-have-been-en-damage-belonged out of-us.
