But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.

On this account a man should prove himself, and then eat of this bread, and drink of this cup.

δοκιμαζέτω δὲ ἄνθρωπος ἑαυτόν, καὶ οὕτως ἐκ τοῦ ἄρτου ἐσθιέτω καὶ ἐκ τοῦ ποτηρίου πινέτω:

It-should-assess-to moreover, a-mankind, to-self, and unto-the-one-this out of-the-one of-a-loaf it-should-eat-belong and out of-the-one of-a-drinkerlet it-should-drink;
