or saith he it assuredly for our sake? Yea, for our sake it was written: because he that ploweth ought to plow in hope, and he that thresheth, [to thresh] in hope of partaking.

Orª saith¹ he²° [it] altogetherª for²° our² sakes?ª¹ For²° our² sakes,ª¹ no doubt,ª [this] is written:ª° thatª he that plowethª° shouldª° plowª° inª hope;ª andª that he that threshethª° in¹ hopeª should be partakerª° of² his²¹ hope.ª

But it is evident that on our account this is said; for on our account it is written, because that in hope it behoveth the ploughman to plough, and him who thresheth, in hope of provision (to thresh).

But manifest it is, for whose sake he said it. And indeed, for our sakes it was written: because the plougher ought to plough in hope, and the thresher in hope of fruit.

ἢ δι' ἡμᾶς πάντως λέγει; δι' ἡμᾶς γὰρ ἐγράφη, ὅτι ὀφείλει ἐπ' ἐλπίδι ὁ ἀροτριῶν ἀροτριᾷν, καὶ ὁ ἀλοῶν ἐπ' ἐλπίδι τοῦ μετέχειν.

or through to-us unto-all it-fortheth? Through to-us therefore it-had-been-scribed, To-which-a-one it-debteth upon unto-an-expectation, the-one aerate-belonging-unto, to-aerate-belong-unto, and the-one threshing-unto upon unto-an-expectation of-the-one to-hold-with.
