for the Lord will execute [his] word upon the earth, finishing it and cutting it short.

Forª he will finishª° the work,ª andª cut [it] shortª° inª righteousness:ª becauseª a shortª° workª will²° the Lordª makeª° uponª the¹ earth.ª

The Lord hath decreed and determined the word, and will perform it upon the earth.

He hath finished and cut short the matter: and the Lord will do it on the earth.

λόγον γὰρ συντελῶν καὶ συντέμνων ποιήσει Κύριος ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.

to-a-forthee therefore finishing-together-unto and cutting-together it-shall-do-unto, Authority-belonged, upon of-the-one of-a-soil;
