And when the barbarians saw the [venomous] creature hanging from his hand, they said one to another, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped from the sea, yet Justice hath not suffered to live.

Andª whenª the¹ barbariansª sawª° the¹ [venomous] beastª hangª° onª his²¹ hand,ª they saidª° amongª themselves,ª No doubtª thisª manª isª° a murderer,ª whom,ª though he hath escapedª°² the¹ sea,ª yet vengeanceª sufferethª° notª to live.ª°

And when the Barbaroyee saw it hang upon his hand, they said, Perhaps this man is a murderer, whom, though he is escaped from the sea, justice suffereth not to live.

And when the barbarians saw it hanging on his hand, they said: Doubtless, this man is a murderer; whom, though delivered from the sea, justice will not suffer to live.

ὡς δὲ εἶδαν οἱ βάρβαροι κρεμάμενον τὸ θηρίον ἐκ τῆς χειρὸς αὐτοῦ, πρὸς ἀλλήλους ἔλεγον Πάντως φονεύς ἐστιν ὁ ἄνθρωπος οὗτος ὃν διασωθέντα ἐκ τῆς θαλάσσης ἡ δίκη ζῇν οὐκ εἴασεν.

As moreover they-saw, the-ones aliened, to-en-hanging to-the-one to-a-beastlet out of-the-one of-a-hand of-it, toward to-one-to-other they-were-forthing, Unto-all a-slayer-of it-be the-one a-mankind the-one-this to-which to-having-been-saved-through out of-the-one of-a-sea the-one a-coursing to-life-unto not it-let-unto.
