But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out by reason of the heat, and fastened on his hand.

And Paulos took many sticks and placed upon the fire; and there came forth a viper from the heat of the fire, and bit (him) in his hand.

And Paul took up a bundle of fagots and laid them on the fire: and a viper, [driven] by the heat, came out of them, and bit his hand.

συστρέψαντος δὲ τοῦ Παύλου φρυγάνων τι πλῆθος καὶ ἐπιθέντος ἐπὶ τὴν πυράν, ἔχιδνα ἀπὸ τῆς θέρμης ἐξελθοῦσα καθῆψε τῆς χειρὸς αὐτοῦ.

Of-having-beturned-together moreover of-the-one of-a-Paulos of-sears to-a-one to-a-repletion and of-having-had-placed-upon upon to-the-one to-a-firedness, a-viper off of-the-one of-a-heating having-had-came-out it-fastened-down of-the-one of-a-hand of-it.
