And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to put to sea from thence, if by any means they could reach Phoenix, and winter [there; which is] a haven of Crete, looking northeast and south-east.

Andª because²° the¹ havenª wasª° not commodiousª toª winter in,ª the¹ more partª advisedªª° to departª° thence also,ª if² by any means²¹ they mightª° attainª° toª Phenice,ª [and there] to winter;ª° [which is] an havenª of Crete,ª and liethª° towardª the south westª andª² north west.ª

Andª because²° the¹ hauenª wasª° not commodiousª toª winter in,ª the¹ more partª aduisedªª° to departª° thence also,ª if² by any meanes²¹ they mightª° attaineª° toª Phenice,ª and there to winter;ª° which is an hauenª of Creete,ª and liethª° towardª the Southwest,ª andª² Northwest.ª

And because that haven was not convenient to winter in, many of us desired to proceed thence, and if possible to come and winter in a certain harbour in Kreta, called Phoniks, and which looked to the south.

And, because that harbor was not commodious for wintering in, many of us were desirous to sail from it, and if possible, to reach and to winter in a certain harbor of Crete, which was called Phenice, and which opened towards the south.

ἀνευθέτου δὲ τοῦ λιμένος ὑπάρχοντος πρὸς παραχειμασίαν οἱ πλείονες ἔθεντο βουλὴν ἀναχθῆναι ἐκεῖθεν, εἴ πως δύναιντο καταντήσαντες εἰς Φοίνικα παραχειμάσαι, λιμένα τῆς Κρήτης βλέποντα κατὰ λίβα καὶ κατὰ χῶρον.

Of-un-goodly-placeable moreover of-the-one of-laked of-firsting-under toward to-a-pour-belonging-beside-unto, the-ones more-beyond they-had-placed to-a-purposing to-have-been-led-up thither-from, if unto-whither they-may-able having-down-ever-a-oned-unto into to-a-Foinix to-have-beside-pour-belonged-to to-laked of-the-one of-a-Krete to-viewing down to-a-south and down to-a-northwest.
