And when they asked him to abide a longer time, he consented not;

Whenª theyª desiredª° [him] to tarryª° longerª² timeª withª them,ª he consentedª° not;ª

and they requested of him to tarry with them; and he was not willing;

And they requested him to tarry with them: but he could not be persuaded.

ἐρωτώντων δὲ αὐτῶν ἐπὶ πλείονα χρόνον μεῖναι οὐκ ἐπένευσεν,

Of-entreating-unto moreover of-them upon to-more-beyond to-an-interim to-have-stayed not it-nodded-upon,
