Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he beheld the city full of idols.

Nowª while Paulª waited forª° themª atª Athens,ª his²¹ spiritª was stirredª° inª him,ª when he sawª° the¹ cityª wholly given²° to idolatry.ª

But he, Paulos, while he waited in Athinos, was embittered in his spirit, (for he) saw how the whole city was filled with idols.

And while Paul was waiting [for them] at Athens, he was pained in his spirit; because he saw that the whole city was full of idols.

Ἐν δὲ ταῖς Ἀθήναις ἐκδεχομένου αὐτοὺς τοῦ Παύλου, παρωξύνετο τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ θεωροῦντος κατείδωλον οὖσαν τὴν πόλιν.

In moreover unto-the-ones unto-Athene' of-receiving-out to-them of-the-one of-a-Paulos, it-was-being-sharpened-beside the-one a-currenting-to of-it in unto-it of-surveiling-unto to-imaged-down to-being to-the-one to-a-city.
