Whosoever shall seek to gain his life shall lose it: but whosoever shall lose [his life] shall preserve it.

Whosoeverªª shall seekª° to saveª° his²¹ lifeª shall loseª° it;ª andª whosoeverªª shall loseª° his²¹ life shall preserveª° it.ª

Whosoeuerªª shall seekeª° to saueª° his²¹ life,ª shall loseª° it,ª andª whosoeuerªª shall loseª° his²¹ life, shall preserueª° it.ª

Whoever willeth to save his life shall lose it, and whoever is willing to lose his life shall save it.

He that desireth to preserve his life, will lose it; and he that will lose his life, shall preserve it.

ὃς ἐὰν ζητήσῃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ περιποιήσασθαι ἀπολέσει αὐτήν, ὃς δ' ἂν ἀπολέσει ζωογονήσει αὐτήν.

Which if-ever it-might-have-sought-unto to-the-one to-a-breathing of-it to-have-done-about-unto, it-shall-destruct-off to-it; which moreover ever it-shall-destructeth-off, it-shall-life-generatee-unto to-it.
