And the steward said within himself, What shall I do, seeing that my lord taketh away the stewardship from me? I have not strength to dig; to beg I am ashamed.

Thenª the¹ stewardª saidª° withinª himself,ª Whatª shall I do?ª° forª myª lordª taketh awayª° fromª meª the¹ stewardship:ª I cannotªª° dig;ª° to begª° I am ashamed.ª°

And the house-chief said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh from me the house-headship. I cannot dig, and to beg I am ashamed.

And the steward said with himself: What shall I do, since my lord is about to take from me the stewardship? To dig, I am unable; and to become a beggar, I am ashamed.

εἶπεν δὲ ἐν ἑαυτῷ ὁ οἰκονόμος Τί ποιήσω ὅτι ὁ κύριός μου ἀφαιρεῖται τὴν οἰκονομίαν ἀπ' ἐμοῦ; σκάπτειν οὐκ ἰσχύω, ἐπαιτεῖν αἰσχύνομαι:

It-had-said moreover in unto-self, the-one a-house-parceleer, To-what-one I-might-have-done-unto to-which-a-one the-one authority-belonged of-me it-lifteth-off-unto to-the-one to-a-house-parceleeing-unto off of-ME? To-dig not I-force-hold, to-appeal-upon-unto I-beshame.
