When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are;

When onceªªª the¹ master of the houseª is risen up,ª° andª hath shut²° to¹ the¹ door,ª andª ye beginª° to standª° without,ª andª to knockª° at the¹ door,ª saying,ª° Lord,ª Lord,ª openª° unto us;ª andª he shall answerª° and sayª° unto you,ª I knowª° youª notª whenceª ye are:ª°

When onceªªª the¹ master of the houseª is risen vp,ª° &ª hath shut²° to¹ the¹ doore,ª andª ye beginª° to standª° without,ª &ª to knockeª° at the¹ doore,ª saying,ª° Lord,ª Lord,ª openª° vnto vs,ª andª he shal answere,ª° & sayª° vnto you,ª I knowª° youª notª whenceª you are:ª°

From the hour that the Lord of the house shall have risen up and have shut the door, you may stand without, knocking at the door, and may begin to say, Our Lord, our Lord, open to us! But he will answer and say, I tell you that I know not whence you are.

From the time that the lord of the house shall rise and close the door, then ye will stand without, and knock at the door; and ye will begin to say: Our Lord, our Lord, open to us and he will answer, and say: I tell you, I know you not, whence ye are.

ἀφ' οὗ ἂν ἐγερθῇ ὁ οἰκοδεσπότης καὶ ἀποκλείσῃ τὴν θύραν, καὶ ἄρξησθε ἔξω ἑστάναι καὶ κρούειν τὴν θύραν λέγοντες Κύριε, ἄνοιξον ἡμῖν: καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ἐρεῖ ὑμῖν Οὐκ οἶδα ὑμᾶς πόθεν ἐστέ.
