and they were astonished at his teaching; for his word was with authority.

And they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was authoritative.

καὶ ἐξεπλήσσοντο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ, ὅτι ἐν ἐξουσίᾳ ἦν ὁ λόγος αὐτοῦ.

and they-were-being-smitten-out upon unto-the-one unto-a-teaching of-it, to-which-a-one in unto-a-being-out-unto it-was the-one a-forthee of-it.
