and Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this [child] is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel; and for a sign which is spoken against;

And Shemun blessed them, and said to Mariam his mother, Behold, this child is set for the ruin and uprising of many in Isroel, for the sign of contention.

And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother: Behold, this [child] is set forth for the fall and for the rising of many in Israel, and for a standard of contention;

καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτοὺς Συμεὼν καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς Μαριὰμ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ Ἰδοὺ οὗτος κεῖται εἰς πτῶσιν καὶ ἀνάστασιν πολλῶν ἐν τῷ Ἰσραὴλ καὶ εἰς σημεῖον ἀντιλεγόμενον,

And it-goodly-fortheed-unto to-them, a-Sumeon, and it-had-said toward to-a-Mariam to-the-one to-a-mother of-it, Thou-should-have-had-seen, the-one-this it-situateth into to-a-falling and to-a-standing-up of-much in unto-the-one unto-an-Israel and into to-a-signlet-of to-being-ever-a-one-forthed,
