But, lest we cause them to stumble, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a shekel: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Notwithstanding,ª lestª we should offendª° them,ª go¹ thou²° toª the¹ sea,ª and castª° an hook,ª andª take upª° the fishª that first²¹ cometh up;ª° andª when thou hast openedª° hisª mouth,ª thou shalt findª° a piece of money:ª thatª take,ª° and¹ giveª° unto themª forª meª andª thee.ª

ἵνα δὲ μὴ σκανδαλίσωμεν αὐτούς, πορευθεὶς εἰς θάλασσαν βάλε ἄγκιστρον καὶ τὸν ἀναβάντα πρῶτον ἰχθὺν ἆρον, καὶ ἀνοίξας τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ εὑρήσεις στατῆρα: ἐκεῖνον λαβὼν δὸς αὐτοῖς ἀντὶ ἐμοῦ καὶ σοῦ.

so moreover lest we-might-have-cumbered-to to-them, having-been-traversed-of into to-a-sea thou-should-have-had-casted to-an-en-curving and to-the-one to-having-had-stepped-up to-most-before to-a-fish thou-should-have-lifted and having-opened-up to-the-one to-a-mouth of-it thou-shall-find to-a-stater; to-the-one-thither having-had-taken thou-should-have-had-given unto-them ever-a-one of-ME and of-THEE.
