He saith, Yea. And when he came into the house, Jesus spake first to him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? the kings of the earth, from whom do they receive toll or tribute? from their sons, or from strangers?

He saith,ª° Yes.ª Andª whenª he was comeª° intoª the¹ house,ª Jesusª preventedª° him,ª saying,ª° Whatª thinkestª° thou,ª Simon?ª ofª whomª do²° the¹ kingsª of the¹ earthª takeª° customª orª tribute?ª ofª their own²¹ children,ª orª ofª strangers?ª

He saith to them, Yes. And when Kipha entered the house, Jeshu anticipated him, and said to him, How doth it appear to thee, Shemun? the kings of the earth, from whom do they take custom and headsilver, from their children, or from aliens?

He said to them, Yes. And when Cephas had entered the house, Jesus anticipated him and said to him: How doth it appear to thee, Simon? The kings of the earth, of whom do they receive tribute and capitation money? of their children, or of aliens?

λέγει Ναί. καὶ ἐλθόντα εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν προέφθασεν αὐτὸν ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων Τί σοι δοκεῖ, Σίμων; οἱ βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ τίνων λαμβάνουσιν τέλη ἢ κῆνσον; ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτῶν ἢ ἀπὸ τῶν ἀλλοτρίων;

It-fortheth, Yea. And to-having-had-came into to-the-one to-a-housing-unto it-anteceded-before to-it, the-one an-Iesous, forthing, To-what-one unto-thee it-thinketh-unto, Simon?
