As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

As thou didst rejoiceª at the inheritanceª of the houseª of Israel,ª because¹¹ it was desolate,ª° so¹ will I doª° unto thee: thou shalt be¹ desolate,ª O mountª Seir,ª and all¹ Idumea,ª [even] all¹ of it: and they shall knowª° that¹ I¹ [am] the LORD.ª

As thou didst reioyceª at the inheritanceª of the houseª of Israel,ª because¹¹ it was desolate,ª° so¹ will I doeª° vnto thee: thou shalt be¹ desolate,ª O mountª Seir,ª and all¹ Idumea,ª [euen] all¹ of it, and they shall knowª° that¹ I¹ [am] the LORD.ª

Thou shalt be desert, O mount Seir, and all Edom{gr.Idumea}; and it shall be utterly consumed: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord their God.
