Now when Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, a eunuch, who was in the king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon (the king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin,)

Now when Ebedmelechª the Ethiopian,ª oneª of the eunuchsª which¹ was in the king'sª house,ª heardª° that¹ they had putª°¹ Jeremiahª in¹ the dungeon;ª the kingª then sittingª° in the gateª of Benjamin;ª

Now when Ebed-melechª the Ethiopian,ª oneª of ye eunuchesª which¹ was in the kingsª house,ª heardª° that¹ they had putª°¹ Ieremiahª in¹ the dungeonª (the kingª then sittingª° in the gateª of Beniamin)ª

And Abdemelech the Ethiopian heard, (now he was in the king's household,) that they [had] put Jeremiah{gr.Jeremias} into the dungeon; and the king was in the gate of Benjamin:

Now when `Eveđ Meleȼ עֶבֶד־מֶלֶךª the Cûšî כּוּשִׁי,ª oneª of the eunuchsª which¹ was in the king'sª house,ª heardª° that¹ they had putª°¹ Yirmæyà יִרמְיָהª in¹ the dungeon;ª the kingª then sittingª° in the gateª of Binyämîn בִּניָמִין;ª
