And it came to pass that, when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut, and commanded that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I over the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.

And it came to pass,¹ that when¹ the gatesª of Jerusalemª began to be darkª° beforeª the sabbath,ª I commandedª° that the gatesª should be shut,ª° and chargedª° that¹ they should not¹ be openedª° till¹ afterª the sabbath:ª and [some] of my servantsª¹ setª° I at¹ the gates,ª [that] there should no¹ burdenª be brought inª° on the sabbathª day.ª

And it came to passe,¹ that when¹ the gatesª of Ierusalemª beganne to be darkeª° beforeª the Sabbath,ª I commandedª° that the gatesª should be shut,ª° and chargedª° that¹ they should not¹ be openedª° till¹ afterª the Sabbath:ª and some of my seruantsª¹ setª° I at¹ the gates,ª [that] there should no¹ burdenª be brought inª° on the Sabbathª day.ª

And it came to pass, when the gates were set up in Jerusalem, before the sabbath, that I spoke, and they shut the gates; and I gave orders that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and I set [some] of my servants at the gates, that none should bring [in] burdens on the sabbath-day.

And it came to pass,¹ that when¹ the gatesª of Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַםª began to be darkª° beforeª the sabbath,ª I commandedª° that the gatesª should be shut,ª° and chargedª° that¹ they should not¹ be openedª° till¹ afterª the sabbath:ª and [some] of my servantsª¹ setª° I at¹ the gates,ª [that] there should no¹ burdenª be brought inª° on the sabbathª day.ª
