Now it came to pass, when it was reported to Sanballat and Tobiah, and to Geshem the Arabian, and unto the rest of our enemies, that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though even unto that time I had not set up the doors in the gates;)

Now it came to pass,¹ when¹ Sanvallaţ סַנבַלַּט,ª and Ţôviyyà טוֹבִיָּה,ª and Gešem גֶּשֶׁםª the `Árävî עֲרָבִי,ª and the restª of our enemies,ª° heardª° that¹ I had buildedª°¹ the wall,ª and [that] there was no¹ breachª leftª° therein; (thoughª² at¹ that¹ timeª I had not¹ set upª° the doorsª upon the gates;)ª
