Also I shook out my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labor, that performeth not this promise; even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the assembly said, Amen, and praised Jehovah. And the people did according to this promise.

Also¹ I shookª° my lap,ª and said,ª° So¹ Godª shake outª°¹ every¹ manª from his house,ª¹ and from his labour,ª¹ that¹ performethª° not¹¹ this¹ promise,ª even thus¹ be¹ he shaken out,ª° and emptied.ª And all¹ the congregationª said,ª° Amen,ª and praisedª°¹ the LORD.ª And the peopleª didª° according to this¹ promise.ª

And I shook out my garment, and said, So may God shake out every man who shall not keep to this word, from his house, and from his labours, he shall be even thus shaken out, as an outcast and empty. And all the congregation said, Amen, and they praised the Lord: and the people did this thing.
