Ought ye not to know that Jehovah, the God of Israel, gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

Ought ye not¹ to knowª° that¹ the LORDª Godª of Israelª gaveª° the kingdomª over¹ Israelª to Davidª for ever,ª [even] to him and to his sonsª by a covenantª of salt?ª

Ought you not¹ to know,ª° that¹ the LORDª Godª of Israelª gaueª° the kingdomeª ouer¹ Israelª to Dauidª for euer,ª [euen] to him and to his sonnesª by a couenantª of salt?ª

[Is it] not for you to know that the Lord God of Israel has given a king over Israel for ever to David, and to his sons, by a covenant of salt?
