And he that was over the household, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and they that brought up [the children], sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any man king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.

And he that¹ [was] over¹ the house,ª and he that¹ [was] over¹ the city,ª the eldersª also, and the bringers upª° [of the children], sentª° to¹ Jehu,ª saying,ª° We¹ [are] thy servants,ª and will doª° all¹ that¹ thou shalt bidª°¹ us; we will not¹ make any² king:ª°¹ doª° thou [that which is] goodª in thine eyes.ª

And he that¹ [was] ouer¹ the house,ª and he that¹ [was] ouer¹ the citie,ª the eldersª also, and the bringers vpª° [of the children], sentª° to¹ Iehu,ª saying,ª° Wee¹ are thy seruants,ª and will doeª° all¹ that¹ thou shalt bidª°¹ vs, we will not¹ make any² king:ª°¹ doeª° thou [that which is] goodª in thine eyes.ª

So they that were over the house, and they that were over the city, and the elders and the guardians, sent to Jehu{gr.Ju}, saying, We also [are] thy servants, and whatsoever thou shalt say to us we will do; we will not make [any] man king: we will do that which is right in thine eyes.
