And the tidings came to Joab; for Joab had turned after Adonijah, though he turned not after Absalom. And Joab fled unto the Tent of Jehovah, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

Then tidingsª cameª° to¹ Joab:ª for¹ Joabª had turnedª° afterª Adonijah,ª though he turnedª° not¹ afterª Absalom.ª And Joabª fledª° unto¹ the tabernacleª of the LORD,ª and caught holdª° on the hornsª of the altar.ª

Then tidingsª cameª° to¹ Ioabª (for¹ Ioabª had turnedª° afterª Adoniiah,ª though hee turnedª° not¹ afterª Absalom)ª and Ioabª fledª° vnto¹ the Tabernacleª of the LORD,ª and caught holdª° on the hornesª of the Altar.ª

And the report came to Joab son of Zeruiah{gr.Saruia}; for Joab had turned after Adonijah{gr.Adonias}, and he went not after Solomon: and Joab fled to the tabernacle of the Lord, and caught hold of the horns of the altar.
