Now therefore as Jehovah liveth, who hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me a house, as he promised, surely Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

Now¹ therefore, [as] the LORDª liveth,ª which¹ hath establishedª° me, and setª° me on¹ the throneª of Davidª my father,ª and who¹ hath madeª° me an house,ª as¹ he promised,ª° Adonijahª shall be put to deathª° this day.ª

Now¹ therefore as the LORDª liueth,ª which¹ hath establishedª° mee, and setª° mee on¹ the throneª of Dauidª my father,ª and who¹ hath madeª° me an houseª as¹ he promised,ª° Adoniiahª shall be put to deathª° this day.ª

And now [as] the Lord lives who has established me, and set me on the throne of my father David, and he has made me a house, as the Lord spoke, this day shall Adonijah{gr.Adonias} be put to death.
